How would u keep track of trolls and multiple aliases without post counts? How would you know who actually contributes and who does not? Post counts show a qasi form of commitment to a board. It shows history. History shows longevity. Longevity is a form of success.

Some of u guys look @ post counts it in a negative way as if it bestows some sort of status or badge of honor on a poster or that a high post count = better poster. Look @ it as the historical record of a poster.

Has anyone yet proclaimed that they are the KING of the Board because they have the highest post count? Does anyone demand attention because they have a high post count? Does anyine give a shit aside from those who compalin about it? This topic comes up @ least a couple of times a year by the same handful of guys.

Completely agree with JJ.

If people have a problem with it, they should simply contribute more. We are the board, and the board is made of the people who contribute. Those who contribute the most, deserve the recognition for the work they put in the board. We are intelligent enough to spot good contributions from the new members as well.
