Are you limiting yourself to direct flights or certain carriers? With the number of start alliance partners flying to the region, I always have multiple choices to boot. Granted you may not always get your preferred carrier (I'm flying UAL as opposed to SQ this year) but there should be something available if you are flying solo. Of course it always helps to get a rep who will be creative with routings, so if I don't get anywhere with my first call, I simply hang up and call back. OCgringo Posted July 18, 2006 Report Share Posted July 18, 2006 My FF ticket is UAL going LAX-NRT-BKK and SQ coming back BKK-SIN-LAX The thing is finding a flight at the lower 60k mile award , you can often get a seat at the higher 90K-120K rate.
