Coyote Dancers - what's the point?

By Coyote Dancers, I don't mean the dancers at Coyotee's, but the gals that dance in hot pants and T-Shirts, and named after the movie 'Coyote Ugly.'

I first saw these girls in Pattaya at the Casino Club in soi Diamond, and there it seems to work. But now the concept has spread to other bars including Peppermint and The Dollhouse.

OK, in a club where the Coyote Girls are the only girls perhaps it's all right but in a gogo with a plethora of nude and semi-nude girls around why would anyone want to look at fully clothed girls dancing? I just don't get it... :dunno::dunno:

In Bangers, coyote dancers work at a completely different style of bar -- not a gogo. Usually live music, upscale, 99% Thai clientele. Very nice change of pace.

But as you describe the situation in Pattaya (as in they "supplement" gogo dancers), you're right. It's stupid.

Cheers,

SD

Well, the difference is that (at least the ones in Casino) they can *dance*...which is the enjoyment in going to Casino, nice change to see attractive young lasses actually dancing and not shuffling - and oh my, can some of those girls dance.

Not seen the "clones" in DH and peppermint yet, but most like they have stuffed a couple of issan girls in the outfit - in which case yes, you are right, entirely misses the point. If however they have a couple of "real" dancers, it would make a nice contrast...

It would work for me if the started out in Coyote dancer uniforms and ended up in their birthday suits. :hubba:

It just seems like there is not much creativity when it comes to the go-go's. Somebody starts to pull a crowd and then everybody jumps on the bandwagon. Look at all of the "Angelwitch" type shows that sprang up over the past several years. Then you had the table dancing thing that caught on once the Beach Club had success. I'm just glad the Las Vegas theme never caught on.

What they owners/managers fail to realize is that it takes more than a type of show, uniform or layout to make a bar a success. :banghead:

This trend actually scares me. They just remodeled Pink Panther in patpong and guess what--it is "coyote" style. There is no stage, there are no poles, there are no bikinis. What you have is a smaller number of girls (who dance quite well) in clothing just only the slightest bit revealing (some belly and legs) dancing on scattered podiums. They seem to draw more customers now. Maybe because it's more open to the outside instead of a small door with the gogo out of view. If this is the future of gogo's, I will definitely miss the good old days. I don't go to these places for the dancing.

Let's not forget the worst part, which was the high pressure tatic of requesting tips table by table.

I really hate/'get pissed when I see guys tipping in LOS gogo bars...sets a bad preceedent...perhapes the main reason for the "Coyote" girls is that some women actually look better with their clothes on. Did see a few girls dancing in street clothes on stage, must admit, I liked it...
