khunsanuk
Hi, I really do not know what to do with the nanaplaza.com site. I have no desire to work on it anymore myself, nor do I go out enough to know what is going on in the nightlife scene. Even though it hasn't been updated in years, it still gets ~100,000 visits / month. Unfortunately after Google banned us from using AdSense on it, we make virtually no money from it anymore (Adbrite doesn't pay very well). Obviously that isn't helping to inspire motivation to work on it. The only thing it is good for at the moment is to drive traffic to the board, but I can't help but think that there is much more potential. I just do not know how to tap into it. I guess the biggest problem is that I have no marketing / sales experience. In the past I have tried contacting bar owners, but was never successfull in getting them to advertise (eventhough our rates are quite low). So, what is the point of this post? Not really sure to be honest. Guess I'm just tossing out some feelers to see if anybody is interested in taking over the content and marketing aspects of NP.com (for a good percentage of course); or maybe someone has another solution. As mentioned above though, I have no desire to spend much time on it myself other than with technical stuff. Sanuk!
bust
Just trying to get a clear picture here. I understood Thai 360 was replacing NP.com Have I missed something? I assumed it would eventually . The only thing I would like to see salvaged is the photo gallery.
Mentors
no idea, maybe better to close it.
Nervous_Dog
No - it's a good advertising vehicle for someone who wants to promote nanaplaza and maybe cowboy/patpong and elsewhere Needs to have someone work the bars to get it too work and make $. At the same time it would be under a LOT of scruttiny from the powers that be, so best to host off shore and anyone connected with it well away from Bangkok. I'd love to have a email addy "Whoremonger@nanaplaza.com" Promotions, discount vouchers etc. Full time job for a (GASP) Thai person. Thai? Well has to be someone not wanting to make a fortune and cheap enough to make a living from it MAYBE get the gals from EMPOWER to work with you, make it a training site for web girls/gog dancers
khunsanuk
Hi, No desire to just close it; even if I do nothing with it (like now), it *is* making some money and driving traffic. Closing it would remove that. I agree with ND that it could be a great advertising vehicle. Unfortunately, I do not have the skills to make it so. Sanuk! Ed Zeppelin
It would be impossible to get away with in Thailand, but maybe have a section where girls advertise themselves. A bit like the Hong Kong website: http://www.sex141.com/en/main.php It would probably have to look more like the websites for escort agencies here, but you could probably charge the girls 3000baht or so to set-up their photos and an extra 1500 to update it. Maybe you could make this section only available to paid-up members. I know this would probably get cracked down by the powers to be, so I'm only speculating really. khunsanuk
Hi, "It would be impossible to get away with in Thailand, but maybe have a section where girls advertise themselves." Not while I am part of NP.com, just too much risk involved. Sanuk!
Orangutan
KS, One business model would be to form a consortium of club owners. They can be from any area in Bangkok. For a joiner fee they could advertise their club/venue...home page, girls, listing in forum, and more. All this inclusive of the already popular nanaplaza brand, and beyond the capabilities of a single member of the group. But you have to have somebody present the owners with the package. Who needs a job? -O
Ed Zeppelin
You said you approached bar owners concerning advertising, but with no luck. How about hotels etc. It would probably be good for the smaller businesses to get some exposure, especially if your fees are low.
Flashermac
Especially lower level hotels that get a lot of bar goer types. Also, maybe travel agencies???
