sayjann
as i said before interpretation is the question. not much difference between the Chelsea Pen and the non Everton Pen. why are 2 almost identical incidents treated differently by Officials?. surely rules are rules.????????????? chelseafan
Or the penalty Barcelona should have last week, or the good luck you got for the penalty against arsenal a few weeks ago....swings and roundabouts my friend. The papers say it was a penalty, alan hansen says it was a penalty, the sky sports team said it was a penalty....the only two people who say it wasnt are you and SAF. sayjann
CF my friend.......... if you look back at my posts you will see that i never said i thought it wasn't a Pen. i said the decision was 'probably right' and i have said that Chelsea deserved to win. i was just voicing my thoughts when 2 similar incidents happen in 2 Days and it becomes head shaking time when 2 highly trained sets of Officials make different decisions for the same offence. Chelsea/MU may be not so important but the failure to award Everton a Pen might turn out to be more troublesome if they do end up 6th.

Mekong
Surprising result of the day was Villa 0-2 Wigan meaning that Wigan are now safe from relegation and won't have anything to play for next sunday when United visit the JJB stadium for the final game. See what the barcodes can do for us tomorrow.
sayjann
Curbishly made comments in the Week about wanting MU to win the League and Grant had a go at him, understandable. and of course the rumours went around that West Ham rolled over and let MU win. moans that Tevez was greeted warmly in the tunnel. understandable as Tevez knows most of the Players from last Season. would people moan if the 2 Ferdinand Brothers greeted each other warmly?. moans that the WH Fans clapped the Tevez Goal. they still remember him as their saviour last Season and have respect, plus it was a terrific strike. i've seen some wonderful Goals scored by oppossing Players against MU and have applauded them. i remember the performances of Romario(Barcalona) and Ronaldo(Real Madrid)and had no problems standing and clapping them off the pitch. moans about the warm handshakes and smiles between Curbs and Fergie. they are friends and respect one another, isn't it normal practice to shake hand before and after a Game?. Arsene Winger excepted.............. :smirk: what did they expect Curbs to do........push Fergie away and tell him to 'fuck off'? gonna get better yet. the Messiah hates Fergie and the Toon might lay down, who's to say that won't happen?. and don't forget Wigan are managed by one of Fergie's best ex-Players,will his Team roll over?. sayjann
i know the Season isn't finished yet with 17 Teams having 1 Game to play and the other 3 2 Games. we have Supporters of many Teams here in the PL(including 1 Villa Fan...... ). so how do you all feel about your Teams performances this Season, highs and lows and Player performances etc?. my highs. Double over Liverpool..... ...always nice. thrashing Arsenal....... reaching the CL Final and giving us the chance to win a PL and CL double. the fine attacking Football we have played, most Games have been a joy to watch. my lows. Man City doing the double over us..... losing to Pompey in the FAC when we could have had another Treble lined up. losing to Chelsea was not a disaster but could turn out to be...... Players. Rio and Vidic in Defence............... Brown showing his worth as a Centre-Half. the emergence of Anderson and Nani,i expected them to play bit parts for a couple of Seasons but they have settled in well. Tevez has also settled and looks good in most Games. Van Der Sar has looked vunerable and aged at times. still a great Goalie but maybe time for Foster to step up?. still fed when the red mist descends on Rooney,he can be such a prat sometimes. Ronaldo Player of the Season,no question. the Player who has impressed me the most from another Team has to be Torres.
chelseafan
Manager of the year surely has to be Avram Grant. Change of managers a short-way into the season No confidence of the fans or media Injuries to Cech, Terry, Ballack and others. Lampards mum dies. Players away for the Afrian nations cup 4th in the league at Christmas and brings us back to level pegging with Man USA Gets the blues to the Carling cup final Gets the blues to the Champions League final. Gets the press and fans back on his side. Fergie may win the double, but Grant has astounded everyone with what he has achieved this season. devils reject
I agree, unkle Fester has done an astounding job this season. One can't forget that most of the players were absolutely shell shocked when Jose got the flick. He's done a very good job dealing wth the ego's and getting them to work hard for the club. We're still gonna do the double though.
