MooNoi
We've done the best, what are your worst (for visiting?) or somewhere that you've really hated and would never go back to? 1. Chennai (Madras) 2. Tangier 3. Addis Ababa 4. Agra (The city itself - not including the fact the Taj Mahal is there) 5. Manila (Sorry PI lovers... I was there when I was backpacking and got mugged there which left a nasty taste in the mouth about the place). I could also probably add Johannesburg to the list quite easily if there was 6. But there's not. So I won't.

was_usvirgin
I can't really comment because I've never been stationed abroad for work, so the places I choose to visit generally arent't shitty. You mention getting mugged in MNL. I never had a problem there over many visits. The only foreign town where I ever had a gun pointed at me was Buenos Aires, but I wouldn't call it a bad town based on one incident in a nightclub. Hell, the only other time I actually got robbed (or ripped off) at gunpoint was within a block from my home!
cavanami
1. Kaohsiung, Taiwan (extremely polluted) 2. Kuwait City (summertime, 50 C+ and no beer!) There are other bad cities, but I manage to avoid them.
fudgyMcPacker
1. Miami, is there a reason to visit this place? 2. San Salvador, the Mara Salvatrucha scared me 3. Santiago, South America with white people.. Most all places I have visited I have liked. Most places that I have visited for work are for very short amounts of time, over night. It allows me to get a taste of the place, and for the above three that was not a good taste.
samak
why Chennai?? i will be there this week! well i have been in a couple of eastern european cities more than 15 years ago when there were still under communism and it can't get worse. i remember in particular Kosice in Slovakia: - polluted - all restaurants and bars closed at 10pm - no convenience stores - worst service ever experienced in hotels
