[but what would I know

The poster doesn't seem like a dumb cunt or one who did anything wrong.

[color:red]Allegedly' date=' according to his version of events. How then do you explain the OP's apparant "Vendetta" against this "Dave" character...the supposed Bar owner????[/color']

It was the mamasan who apparently displayed the hostility, [color:red]again allegedly...how do we know exactly how the OP expressed his disatisfaction at what he considered bad customer service?????

while the poster (in the absence of any other info) felt that he was at least owed a "good-by" by the dancer. [color:red]exactly my point....in the absence of any other info... I'm with OH on this one...something smells of Nam Pla here...

Registered 2 years ago....first post.... refers to "History" with Bar owner.... issues on other Boards.... I wonder what other handles he posts under here????

We only have the OP's story here....and everyone knows there are 3 sides to every Story...His, Hers...and the truth....

I've only once not been told "good by" by a bg with whom I'd spent some time...and it was after ASKING if it was okay for her to go see "a customer". Of course, I've never had a problem, as I would've barfined her long before if I was interested in anything more than her company in the bar and nothing more.

[color:red]Maybe, just maybe, your experiences reflect directly on how you treat the girls, as well???

Too many guys here seem to automatically discount and become cynical in their choosing of "sides" without having been in a witness to an event. [color:red]Certainly not choosing sides...am I cynical??....Yes, a little...life has taught me to be....BUT I am not gullible...and will not accept a "Story" from someone I don't know as gospal either!!!!!!

FWIW, I've seen the most trouble caused by bargirls and their foolishness than by punters. Bargirl vs. farang, bargirl vs bargirl...you name it. [color:red]Bear in mind that the OP was talking about Payyaya here!!!!!

For every dumb cunt punter, there's three dumb cunt bar girls. Yeah, the punters may be drunk, but chances are the girls causing the trouble are drunk or on dope.[color:red]I guess it depends where you hang out. Sure the girls get drunk, as do we all....but I can honestly say that in the circles I mix in....VERY few of the girls even smoke...let alone do Drugs...YMMV

Hugh, not starting a war here, just expressing MY views on the topic

But as I said befor....What would I know????

Cheers DC

I've got a feeling that the OP's is a sanitized version of events, with the OP at all times calm, quiet, polite, sober and rational... Hhmmmm maybe?

Dumsoda's take could be the other side of the story.

The girls at Windmill are certainly money hungry, but they usually give good value in return. I can't see the girl moving away from this money tree, if she didn't want to.

"... and then went to my dancerâ??s new table." Sounds like the actions of a petulant punter trying to score the last point.

I'd have simply put it down to experience and moved on. Cut your losses; she might have repeated her indifference in the bedroom. Either resolve not to go back to Windmill, or don't shoot yourself in the foot denying yourself the pleasure of the other girls. Exact your revenge by buying another girl LDs and ignore "my dancer".

We've all got tales of being taken for a ride by trollops and true loves!

Maybe Dave should get his bouncers to take a leaf out of Ricky's book at Sisterz. He's instructed his security staff never to hit a customer. Ask them to pay up and leave. If they won't, pin their arms in a bear hug from behind and escort them to the door.

Excellent advice to all.

DC...I read u loud and clear. Always 3 sides. But considering the OP's background, I'll take his side in the absence of others...especially when it comes to some mamasans I've run into who would lie, cheat, and steal without thinking 2 seconds about it. If, as was stated, the mamasan was sent home, it was probably for a damn good reason. Think of the loss of face she suffered. Not something done on a manager's "whim". More like a way of siding with the OP without having to apologize and maybe in recognition that the mamasan was "out of control".

First, in response to the last post, look up Bangkok Barry's submissions on the Stickman site. That's me.

Now, Gentlemen

I have read your comments with great interest.

I agree, as some have said, that the Windmill is a fun place. Thatâ??s why I went there in the first place, because of its reputation. And I was having a great time until something went wrong. Why the mamasan was so volatile I have no idea. As I said, the Thai I spoke to told me she was crazy, so Iâ??d guess there may have been problems with her before. Even after the beating, I stayed on for quite some time. The mamasan was removed from the bar, not me.

I was what should have been regarded by the bar as a perfect customer - spending a lot of money on lady drinks, as Dean who examined my bill would agree, and tipping the staff. As well as tipping my dancer 500 baht I also tipped two waitresses and the cashier. Instead, it was a case of spend 3000 baht and get a free black eye etc. (the black eye developed during the following day).

I stand by all I wrote, which was put down as soon as I returned to my hotel and while details were still fresh in my mind. For those who have suggested that I was drunk, even though I said I was not, then can a drunk write the way I did? I believe that what I wrote was articulate, not usually found in fighting drunks.

What is most interesting to me, however, is that most of you have sided with the bar. Iâ??m not sure what that says about you, Pattaya or Thailand. It appears to me that many, at least on these forums, now accept that beating up customers is a normal part of life here and can be expected if you complain about poor service, or that many customers in the bars here are looking for trouble and deserve what they get. Perhaps some are. But I have never been in any confrontation in my entire life, and Iâ??m 60 next birthday. I mentioned I am a respected professional as that was supposed to underline my good character, but some even took that up against me.

Another aspect of the poor service by the way, which I didnâ??t mention as it was irrelevant to the main topic, was the waitresses habit of removing glasses before they are empty. I was ordering my dancer a drink while she still had one, and as soon as the new drink was brought they would take the old drink away. They did it twice before I finally caught on to the scam with the third drink and insisted they left it. Guess if they â??accidentallyâ?? took an unfinished drink again, once Iâ??d noticed what they were doing.

I very much look forward to hearing from the management, and am surprised they have not yet responded or contacted me. Perhaps that tells its own story. I donâ??t know. I waited for a reasonable time, some 14-15 hours, for them to do so before posting what happened. Why many of you think I have an agenda I donâ??t know - again, a reflection of the thought processes of people who live here. Still, I should have expected that. When I had a lesser problem with the same management I was accused of the same thing, before the management investigated and fired the manager concerned.

Iâ??m not after anything for myself, even though some have suggested I deserve compensation. I also donâ??t have a grudge against anyone, but when something of this nature occurs I believe it is my public duty to inform. Then people can make up their own mind. Clearly, many of you have and have condemned me. Fair enough, but I donâ??t think Iâ??d like you in my circle of friends.

You sound like an OK guy to me Whiskers and I'm prepared to believe the mamasan was a bitch but after reading this ....

http://www.stickmanbangkok.com/Reader2007/reader3877.htm

I have a bit of trouble equating the writer with someone who would spend a lot of money on lady drinks in Windmill. Of course it's your money to spend how you want but was she different?

Just how long actually have you been visiting LOS... :dunno:

You sound intelligent, articulate and reasonable but incredibly naive. Your experience sounds reminiscent of a newbie not a "respected professional"

You mentioned in your earlier post that you had spent 4 hours there before the incident, all the time with the one girl? I am no expert on BG behavior, I never go to them but I am guessing that after an hour she would expect to be barfined not held hostage, I use that term extremely loosely.

So you need to understand that your OP doesn't give a very accurate detail of the events as we know very little about the main character, hence the cynicism.

Hope this helps.
