dullnight
Just found that clip on the net while googling "The Munchy Code". Funny guys but for sure they won't get laid much anymore. Unbalanced weight loss

liquidflux
Don't really need to go outside the city to find a cheap place. I'm staying in an apartment about 2 minutes from the onnut bts station for 5000B a month.

rickfarang
Serious answer to a serious question: If you meet the wrong girl, 5 or 6 weeks. If you live very modestly upcountry and don't give in to vanity or your girlfriend's vanity, and you are lucky and don't encounter any expensive accidents, five years or more. I have lived on from less than 20k Baht/month with some comfort - though no air or car, rarely eating out etc. Many Thais live on less than 10k/month. Depends on you. Just keep a reserve fund to cover emergency expenses and to get you back home when its all over.
Mentors
full agree. before we built our house, we have lived in Surat City for a couple of month with less than 20'000 Bht. per month (incl. appartm., food, newspapers, bus and my daily Chang bia's)
..
That's all well and good, and I am sure you have done that (nevermind the whys), but you are missing the point of the OP. He was not talking about some sleepy retirement on the farm, with the missus, doing nothing. He wants an extended holiday. He wants to drink all day and shag whores all night. B20k won't last five days doing that. That's reality. Don't lead the poor lad down some boring and inaccurate primrose path when he's seriously trying to plan the time of his life. Stickman
Hate to break it to you but your 2.5 million baht is probably closer to 2.3 million baht now. The Aussie dollar is going down faster than a Lolita's girl.
