What group bounces more checks in the USA then any other group?

Our Federal Politicians!

Bouncing checks is illegal, but seems they are above the law.

Just caught part of a video and a group named "judicialwatch.com" or something like that has been filing law suits against US politicians! Go get 'em!!!

IMO it would require 2 things: Honesty & justice.

Honesty: admit to the American people that productive people can't "carry" unproductive parasites--welfare mamas, old people, sick people (bye bye Obama health care plan), foreign governments, unnecessary weapons programs, corporate bail-outs, you name it.

Justice: Make people suffer for their own mistakes. One of the main features of the "corporate model" is there is no personal liability. If a CEO or the board fucks everything up--"oh well". They lose the assets of the corp, but NO personal assets are at risk.

Hey fuck slut! No more food stamps or welfare. Go find the daddies (if you know who they are) and get file criminal charges for failure to pay child support. Then, take the kids and go to the street corner and start begging. I ain't paying for your rent, electric, or food anymore!

We all gotta live below our means and FUND future expenses such as retirement or R & D FIRST, before we spend discretionary income. Individuals, corporations, and governments.

Working class people spending $5 for a fucking cup of coffee so they feel rich and spoiled. We deserve to be bankrupt. No one did it to us. We did it to ourselves. $5 coffee indeed!

So let me get this straight. The problems on Wall Street are the fault of that poor homeless schmuk that tries to pinch me for $1 every time I walk into the liquor store.

Though I almost croaked just now chewing on my pretzel, I thank you for clearing that up.

No sir, the problems of Wall Street are not the fault of the homeless, they are the fault of the CEOs, as I mentioned above. But, corporate bailouts are only a portion of our national debt. The others are military and welfare.

Which is why I also mentioned unnecessary weapons programs, and failed to mention the expense of warfare in general.

The reference to "welfare mamas" was referring to the welfare component of our debt.

Sorry about the pretzel. Hope you had some beer to wash it down with:wink:

Why not make it mandatory to take the fuckers that screw up and shoot'em.

Works for china, worked real well in the USSR.

:cover:

Well, if their screw ups only resulted in losses for their shareholders, termination (firing from job, NOT the Schwarzenegger kind) would be fine. But these big corps affect all of us.

Certainly deserve more than club Fed accommodations. And the really injustice in it all is that crime victims gotta pay for room, board, & medical for the people who victimized them. No just at all.

Off topic, I know, but I'm not certain I believe in the concept of prisons. If someone commits a horrendous act, kill 'em. Rape, murder, pedophilia, habitual violence.

If they commit property / financial crimes, public lashing / caning and THEN bond servitude till they pay it back.

Works for me. In concept anyway. Wonder if anyone ever tried this??? Flashermack--you seem to know a lot about history. Off the top of your head, anyone ever try anything like this???

Why not the Roman way?

You you end up without means to repay/pay for the damages -> you get enslaved as well as all your relatives etc...

So, if people with bad debts get their homes taken from them because they can't repay the loans why not CEO/High level executives getting the same treatment instead of moving to another big company?

I took two semesters of Economics. Got a B-. I didn't understand one word the professor said.

C-Span.

They had a guest who has written a book on current crisis. His view was the Great Depression was not caused by the stock market crash but by the banking failures. Roosevelt closed all the banks - then passed some laws regulating the banks. That did not solve the probem as there was a recession in 1939.

On another note:

US Housing.

Little tidbit. People still with good credit. But the home they currently own is worth about half what they paid or owe in mortgage. Some of these people view the amount they owe on current home - the money value - then go out and find another home of much greater size, location, amenities - that has lost great value BUT is equal to the amount owed on their current home. So these people go out and buy this bigger and better home in better location - for the same amount as they owe current home. In other words, they upgrade to a better home for same amount of money they owe on current home. THEN, they just "walk away" from current home. Let the bank take it - foreclosure. And in the end, they have a much better home in a nicer neighborhood for SAME money paid out every month.

Ya know, you righties always talk about "welfare." But that ceased to exist in 1996 under Clinton. I maintain that it is a very small number.

Soooo, I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me just how much we spend in welfare. Ballpark is fine, but provide links to legitimate sources (GAO docs or something).

Cheers,

SD -- loves clearing out misconceptions

Read the Bible. Prisons were later introduced while the Jews were under Roman control.

In the Bible, a person could sell themselves into slavery. Jews had slaves and sold jewish slaves. Eye for an eye, was the way of the land. There were no jails. No prisons. None of the shit we see today.
