We will travel to Hanoi/Sapa next week and have a short Bangkok stop or is Hanoi better? (might be cold up the mountains around Sapa) It can be cold in January around the hot Isaan villages. Julian2 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Share Posted November 7, 2008 I'm genuinely surprised you couldn't find anything in Udon, all the Thais have winter coats for when the temperature drops to a bitter 25C. I'm sure any shopping mall in Bangkok will have a full range of light jackets in all sizes. Pratunam market near the Indra Regent Hotel certainly would have a full range.
