buffalo_bill
Does PAD deserve praise ? Certainly , though from a different corner I think . Interviewed t-shirt vendor Buffalosak Billolongkorn , corner Soi 7 / Suk : Miss Buff , what you think ? - No like , PAD too bad . No hab customer . What are your immediate consequences ? - Me never go vote , neck time go vote . Go vote Taktin , PAD too bad .
bust
Just to clarify I don't pretend to be an expert or even have a moderate understanding of Thai politics. I do however recognize the fact that PAD have had a huge impact without spilling blood in the streets. My comments are more directed at how a peaceful demonstration can sometimes be far more effective than random acts of violence.
CTO
No blood - you out of your frigging mind? The death toll so far is over 10 from PAD starting their little project - and a lot more coming. This isn't a walk in the park with the hippies this is very real vile nasty shit. bust
Understand that just making a comparison to Mumbai that's all.
CTO
10 is better than 125 - but once Thailand hit 130 their worse? How about ZERO equaling peaceful demonstrations?
bust
Sure that would be nice in an ideal world but unfortunately we don't live in one. The grenade attacks which I assume you are referring to....anyone been held responsible?
CTO
Then let's not pretend that PAD is peaceful then I wasn't making the claim - you did. There has been many attacks on both sides
WorldFun
CTO on your offshore news link although well written I don't seem to find any real news inside it? how is it contradicting what bangkoktraveller said? I see it's actually confirming what he said
bust
I never said PAD were peaceful.....I referred to peaceful demonstrations. I consider a "sit-in" which is how it is being interpreted here as peaceful. I don't for a moment consider a grenade attack the same.
Flashermac
Strange ... a little after 7 pm I'd swear I heard small arms fire in the distance, a lot of it. Maybe I'm getting flashbacks.
