Central Scrutinizer
Police were called to a woodland area near to Chaknok Reservoir in Huay Yai on the 20th January to investigate a sex offence incident. vdo link: http://www.pattayapeople.com/default.asp?Folder=16&IdArticle=15709 Who should they find being accused of sexually abusing a 12 year old boy was none other than Mannari Massimo, the 51 year old Italian, who we reported on a few weeks ago who was arrested for sexual activity with underage boys. Now out on bail from the previous convictions, he is still blatantly reoffending. This time the Italian was caught quite literally with his pants down in the scrub land together with a young boy. He was taken away to be charged and face further investigation. http://www.pattayapeople.com/default.asp?Folder=16&IdArticle=15709
Faustian
Once again Thailand's laws are found to be insufficient and negligent. Why was this guy granted bail? Just how dangerous does a person need to be?
Central Scrutinizer
Thailand's bail requirements are insane. This guy (and many others I have seen over the years, both Thai and farang) should have been waiting for trial in prison, and not back out on the streets. Bangkoktraveler
I wonder how much his bail will be now?
Old Hippie
These animals are never ever cured. There is no rehabilitation for them. Thus best to keep them off the streets. As for bail being granted...a tough call maybe. I mean should he have been kept in prison until trial? what if he wasn't guilty? maybe the Thais were hoping he'd just leave/flee so they didn't have to deal with him? khunsanuk
Hi, "There is no rehabilitation for them." Agree. Easiest solution requires just one bullet. Sanuk!
Old Hippie
Normally, I am against the death penalty, but where kids are concerned, I lose all sense of rational thought. Anyone abusing a kid does NOT deserve a second chance in my book.
Bangkoktraveler
Hi, "There is no rehabilitation for them." Agree. Easiest solution requires just one bullet. Sanuk! 3 bullets makes it more enjoyable. Better yet, bury him with his head and neck above ground and then put some honey on his head.
Steve
The recidivist rate for those types are high because its just part of their make up. For whatever reason they become pedos in the first place (abused as a child, etc.) they keep doing it. Almost every one of them can no more stop lusting after little boys (or girls) than we can breathing. Their movement and access after they get out of jail should be closely monitored. Restrictions on travel as well. They can't have jobs that deal with kids or live within a certain proximity to schools or playgrounds in some municipalities in the states. Jail for life or death penalty are really the only ways you can guarantee it won't happen again.
