While Harris was promising cotton candy and debt dismissal, these people were saying “…WTF? We worked for years and got fucked and got/get nothing and here you are giving away shit to kids who barely if ever held a real job,,?” It worked. Never mind that it has historically been the republicans who have consistently fucked the working class going back to Regan (though a case could be made to blame Nixon for “recognizing China” and thus opening the flood gates…

Kaos TV Series 2024

A darkly-comedic and contemporary reimagining of Greek mythology that explores themes of gender politics, power, and life in the underworld. Zeus has a wrinkle. He's worried it might mean the end of the world and it might. Because on earth, six humans unaware of their importance or their connection to one another learn that they are component parts of an ancient prophecy. Will they discover the truth about the gods and what they're doing to humans? And if they do, will they be able to stop them?

Jeff Goldblum does a good Zeus.

It's a good watch, I particularly liked, how the underworld and dead, are shot in black and white, the three headed dog is perfect.

Cliff Curtis is a good Poseidon, Suzie Eddie Izzard as Lachesis, one of the three Fates is, well he's Eddie.

I'm hoping this gets another season.

The story of the infamously terrible American Samoa soccer team, known for a brutal 2001 FIFA match they lost 31-0. With the 2014 World Cup approaching, the team recruits a down on his luck, maverick coach to help turn their fate around. Heartwarming comedy drama inspired by true events offers something different to the usual.

Slow Horses [2022 TV]
Follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve as a dumping ground department of MI5 due to their career-ending mistakes under a leader with a penchant for living like a slob and breaking wind. Entertaining spy action drama series, now with four seasons complete and a fifth on the way, based on the Slough House novels, top acting, witty dialogue, Oldman steals every scene. One of the best binge watching series out at the moment, that gets better each new series.

The Outrun [2024 Movie]
After living life on the edge in London, a woman attempts to come to terms with her past, hoping to heal after rehab, she returns to the wild beauty of Scotland's Orkney Islands where she grew up. An exceptional central performance makes this movie worth seeing, great cinematography is a given with the location. A slow and often told tale of addiction based on yet another biography.

Goodrich [2024 Movie]
Andy Goodrich's life is upended when his wife enters a rehab program, leaving him on his own with their young kids. Goodrich leans on Grace, his daughter from his first marriage, as he ultimately evolves into the father she never had. Mediocre script and melodramatics by the cast is saved by a strong lead who can keep any movie alive.

Reagan [2024 Movie]
A drama based on the life of Ronald Reagan, from his childhood to his time in the oval office. A most bizarre imagined biography using a ridiculous hammed up Soviet KGB spy POV. Despite a convincing lead portrayal of Reagan and his wife the rest of this is Americana cheese, albeit entertaining in a simple way. Potential Raspberry Awards contender.

Wolf Hall [2015 TV]
Thomas Cromwell, finds himself amongst the treachery and intrigue of King Henry VIII's court and soon becomes a close advisor to the King, a role fraught with danger.  A six-part adaptation of Hilary Mantel's novels "Wolf Hall" and "Bring Up the Bodies" has Rylance in stunning form with a brilliant support cast. The first series covers the two novels during the period when the king was married to his first three wives, the third of which Seymour lived in Wolf Hall. One of TVs best historical period dramas, so good the second series is finally coming out after nine years in 2024 following the release of the next book.

First series top notch now it's Woke Hall. Black actors playing Tudor aristocrats make it unwatchable, why do they do it, it's history not a fantasy, well actually they made it one. They don't cast white actors to play black historical characters these days, so it's all one way distortion. Part of the BBC campaign to brainwash people into believing England has always been diverse with a large black population, it's a lie. The old excuse, well it's not a documentary just wont justify this nonsense.

The Old Man [2022 TV]
A former CIA officer, who's living off the grid, finds himself on the run from people who want to kill him. A lavish thriller, with an absorbing story, the finest lead performers carry this all the way, told in a flash back format with perhaps an overload of twists. Worth binge watching all seven episodes of series 1. A second series following on the success in 2024, with the same cast seems to lose the plot with tired script and performances suggesting this will be the last series, yet the final scene confuses otherwise. Enough.
