Here in LA it was on all the regular stations ,

I watched Andy Griffith in Mayberry , no MJ and Barney got in trouble again :)

But even this morning it was on again , with everyone talking about how great it was,

I figure tomarrow they will be talking about the people talking about how great it was.....

They have to fill the time between the commercials !

BK

OHH just in , only cost 4 million for security for the Zoo yesterday.......I am sure that MJs family will pay it........yeah right

Even Fox "news" was hyping it all up...yet another diversion from more important events that do actually effect us.

BTW, who is paying for this mess? and why?

No idea who's behind it all. If it goes on too long people will forget to be scared of terrorists.

OK, point. That's a good thing. But still, re: the celebrity worship...WTF????????

Are "normal people" really that pathetic? Am I that much out of touch and that much an "elitist?"

I *really* don't know, as I have not *lived* in the West for so long...

Cheers,

SD

I think * me & you * will pony up for some of his.. :banghead:

" Michael Jackson’s family is currently joining a large motorcade  complete with a SWAT team escort  from the Forest Lawn Cemetery to the star’s memorial service at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. There’s no question the star-studded Jackson memorial service is a costly endeavor for the cash-strapped city of Los Angeles. Dozens of L.A.’s busiest roadways are closed off, massive screens have been erected to provide fans with a view of the ceremony outside the Staples Center and hundreds of additional police officers have been deployed for the event. As a result, mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has asked fans to give tax-deductible donations to the city of Los Angeles to help cover the roughly $3.8 million necessary to make the memorial service and all the security involved a reality, My Fox L.A. reports."

This is fucked up !!
