ThaiHome Posted August 19, 2010 Report Share Posted August 19, 2010 By the time you get through immigration etc, and take train into Makkasan station it will be close to 8:00 or 8:30 or so. You are correct in that all you have to do is take taxi a short distance down Asok and turn left onto Sukhumvit and then do U turn back to Soi 18 (or go straight at Suk and take Soi 16 off Asok and wind your way over to Soi 18). At morning rush hour, that shouldn’t take much more then 30 minutes or so. But, you will probably still be better off then taking either expressway, particularly the Rama IV expressway, into Sukhumvit at that time of the morning I have read there is an intention to put walkway from Makkasan station to the MRT station, but construction has not started yet.
