Measles anyone?

the link I give HERE is a story from NZ and it discusses the situation in the USA with clarity.

notably -

"The three people who have already died – two children and an adult – were all unvaccinated."

and

"American health experts also attribute the outbreak to declining vaccination rates and mixed messaging from public officials – notably, US Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, who has faced criticism for promoting unproven treatments over the proven MMR vaccine.

But in recent days, he has done an about-turn and publicly promoted the vaccine, after visiting the families of the dead children, aged six and eight, in Texas.

“I think the u-turn is really important,” says Turner. “I think that people in power need to be more honest in their conversations, and if they want to lie about the science then they should be challenged.

“He did not have his science right, it was wrong. Now, I’m grateful that he pulled his horns in … but I think the damage is already done.”  "

Let’s not forget that a week ago at this time, Trump and his team told the world that he’d implement his dangerous trade tariffs; there would be no pauses, delays or extensions; and he wasn’t considering exceptions.

We've seen a reversal on a reversal on tech...

"temporary" (ahem, cough, cough) exemptions for carmakers.

Bubi -"US factory building".  "Build 'em in Chyeena where I get my MAGA hats made, much cheaper..."

Trump is a lovely man - see Bill Maher's report on dinner with Donald LINK

A senior Chinese official has warned that US President Donald Trump’s tariffs would backfire and that soon, “those peasants in the US” would “wail in front of the 5000 years of Chinese civilization.”

China has barred its country’s airlines from accepting deliveries from Boeing in retaliation against Trump’s tariffs.

Gentlemen, Ladies, I pose a question and posit an answer.

Against the background of everything Trump (and his cohort of trumpanzees) does, getting taken through the court systems and ending up at the Supreme Court:

What happens if the Supreme court rules against Trump and Trump then ignores them. They having no army to enforce the law, what can they do ?

My answer is: that this situation can only be resolved via an election and a with the backing of a sympathetic military who refuse to support the losing Trump.

Oh, and Trump is great, please don't put my name on a list.

He must be starting to tread on very thin ice.

A US judge rebuked the Trump administration for doing "nothing" to facilitate the return of a man it wrongly deported to El Salvador.

Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele visited Donald Trump at the White House and said he would not release or return Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

and it looks like the courts are not gonna let 'em skate in the wrongful deportation case, "Cause for Contempt"

“The Constitution does not tolerate wilful disobedience of judicial orders — especially by officials of a coordinate branch who have sworn an oath to uphold it," Boasberg wrote.

they can avoid the consequences if they bring the guy back from the hell hole.

On another (Archery Hunting) board I read about a USA guy who is having horrendous issues with USPS, and saying that Trump and Musk are right and that USPS should be gutted. He is joined by a chorus of agreement from the members of that board.

Keen as I am to pick my battles, I have yet to point out to them, that it was Trump in his first term, that appointed his mate Lous De Joy to "fix" the USPS. And that De Joy has just quit and run away, all these years later, having failed in his mission. They must be tired of winning, surely...

A personal note: I used to get the occasional item sent to me from the USA, a year ago, the thing I bought was subject to delay upon delay, before it left the USA, so much so, I never got it. I wrote off the $56 and resolved to not buy from the USA again.

Chyeena and Europe now get my money

Californian Governor Gavin Newsom files federal lawsuit against Donald Trump's tariffs

California sues Trump administration over tariffs.

The US state of California is suing the Trump administration over its global tariffs, claiming the president is abusing his executive powers and causing economic devastation.

Californian Governor Gavin Newsom has described Mr Trump's tariffs as 'the worst own-goal in the history of this country' and said no other state will be as harshly impacted.

The White House has rebuked the lawsuit, saying the Trump administration 'remains committed' to the president's tariffs.

The United States' most populous jurisdiction, California, and its Governor Gavin Newsom are suing the Trump administration in a lawsuit aimed at blocking President Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs on foreign trading partners.

In the lawsuit filed in the US Federal Court, the state is accusing Mr Trump of abusing his executive powers and inflicting harm on California and the country.

"Today I announced a lawsuit on behalf of the state of California suing the Trump administration. California's the largest manufacturing state in our union, one of the largest trading partners around the globe," Mr Newsom said in a post on X.

"No state will be impacted more than the state of California as it relates to the unilateral authority that's been asserted by the Trump administration to impose the largest tax increase in modern American history."

Mr Trump imposed 10 per cent tariffs on goods from all countries and higher tariffs for countries the administration says have high barriers to US imports, most of which he later paused for 90 days.

He also imposed a 145 per cent tariff on China, with exceptions for certain electronics, while China retaliated with a 125 per cent tariff against the US and the European Union approved its own retaliatory tariffs which have since been paused.

The US Constitution vests the authority to impose tariffs in Congress, and the law that Mr Trump cites as authority for his new tariffs — the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) — does not allow the president to "tax all goods entering the United States on a whim," California said in its lawsuit.

Whilst we here, can document the febrile failings of the Orange one, it's pleasing to note, that there are vast numbers of other clever people, doing the same, as with Sachs in the vid above.

If this absolute abortion of situation, didn't affect the rest of us, I'd happily laugh at our predictions coming to pass.

But as we're all in the same boat, all I can do, is hope that the rising discontent across America and the almost seamless ridicule, from the rest of the world, results in Trump skating out the door onto Airforce One and living his days out in Russia or Saudi.

Whilst there are the Jan 6 participants, ready do demonstrate their Macho Manliness against the Libtards again, if there's physical conflict,  they, the boofheads they are, will falter when faced with superior numbers, including women and children. It will be a sympathetic military that decides such a conflict. But sympathetic to whom?

It is not a good idea for him to be allowed to stomp around Mar a Lago or Manhattan, as an ex president, pretending he still is King.

Small addition, yesterday I got a boat cover and other sundry items delivered.

4 days from clicking "order",  half way across China, thence to HongKong, thence to NZ, through customs and delivered to my door.

Since 2016 when I used to use USPS from America, it was 3 weeks minimum. Louis De Joy, "only the best people".
