:) I have my reasons :) You'll like my book!

Anyway, Thanks to you and all, your comments and thoughts are welcome and I am sure Alec, who I suspect if there are spirits is indeed back in the lobby, welcomes your kind thoughts, it's not so much that I was a good friend, but that if you live your life as one of life's gentlemen, then you are respected for it.

Perhaps, but you won't have as much fun as you would being "ungentlemanly". ;)

I am not to sure HH, from the gist of the eulogy, it seemed he had them lining up at the door

I spotted those, but my amazement at the writing overall had me speechless. Maybe there are really two NG's, the illiterate one and the scholar. Sort of like the Three Faces of Eve.

p.s. The "porn shop" had me chuckling. I'll bet Alec had no regrets when he departed. A toast!

A great tribute.

I too had the opportunity to sit down and talk with some of the 'old timers' on most trips. Lot's of good stories and laughs.

One trip/stay at the Nana Hotel. Myself and a friend got into the elevator with Izzie. My friend did not know Izzie. In the elevator I stated to my friend: "Did you know that some guys check into the Nana hotel and never leave." And Izzie bursts out laughing and states the he moved into the Nana x years ago and has never left. We all had a good laugh.

Izzie seemed to be a happy guy. I admire that in people.

Very few reach that stage of life and are happy and can laugh spontaneously.
