Nervous God
Correct, when people used to debate how much to pay, who to chat up I used him as an example, often though newbies would say impossible. If your polite, nice gentlemanly, then you will have them hitting on you, regardless your age.

gobbledonk
I know these long-timers dont live in standard rooms, but I cant imagine living at the Nana and I have probably been one of Soi 4's staunchest supporters on this board over the last few years, often in the face of derision from several expats. Its not the nightlife, its the fact that you feel like you are returning to the Overlook Hotel each time. From ND's description, Alec's ghost will be welcome in those hallways, but I'm less sure of some of the former inhabitants. Sex aside, those walls could tell some stories - great place to visit, but I wouldnt want to live there.

Specialist
I wouldn't want to live in any hotel on a long term basis. I lived in a motel in Florida for ten weeks on a contract gig in 1982. I lived in a nice business travel hotel near LAX for four months on a contract gig in 2004. It did get old, but it wasn't all that bad. The Nana isn't that bad a place, all things considered. Royal President isn't bad. If the Ambassador changed their guest-unfriendly policy, it could be a very nice long-term place.
