These Hackers Are Really Starting To Piss Me Off.

OK, so I am no different to most who get bombarded with endless phishing emails and text messages. I know all the usual give away and never ever click on links etc. I also get my fair share of energy bill saving offers or from the fraud department from the bank I don't actually bank with. They generally come out of call centers in Mumbai.

But this latest little incident has really pissed me off.

So I recently get this text message from my bank (yes it actually was my bank)

Then another one. They had actually tried a couple of weeks ago which I flagged and the Bank refunded the money.

Then I start getting Facebook password reset requests

Security from the Bank did call me Cancelled the card and froze the account

Facebook however has been a completely different beast as the below will show.

Mate of mine queried me yesterday, on why I didn't use facebook.  Nullum usum mihi = no use to me.

I only trust, this board and gmail.

I guess what is annoying me most is the lack of options available from old mate Meta Mark

I got the shits back in the early '90s when google and others algorithms, were revealed as heavily disposed towards, "Popularity = Truth"

And so it fails.

Unfortunately the only point of contact I have for some people.

And more importantly I am a member of the Thais Pointing At Things Group 😀

Even the “Thais Pointing at Things” group would not convince me to join Facebook

Why on earth anyone would have their CC details linked to any website, let alone Facebook, is beyond me, even for iTunes I use a pre-paid debit card available online.

The thing is I don't have my CC linked to any website and I have a dedicated Debit card I use for any online payments (the cancelled card) which I transfer the required funds to prior to any purchases.

I actually don't think the dodgy transactions had anything to do with Facebook. I think was a play on the name (FACEBK) to not attract attention.
