I think there is a Det 5 on Soi 8 now? Next to the Stable lodge… Music and pool and decent food. Tommie used to play there and hosted the open mike for a bit…

Yes, we once had board meeting at the Soi 8 one over 10 years ago, Coss will remember. The one and only time I met Flashermac is the flesh.

Hence the reason I referred to Buckskin Joes as the original. They had a good music selection in the Bar down there, ever better than Peter’s in Woodstocks 

Who is this Tommie to which you refer Chang Noi real name (which I never knew) or someone else. Tommie and music to me is the French Bongo Player who played with house band in the Huntsman, Santos bar on Suk Soi 4

Tommie posted under the name “Goatscroat” or something, was originally from Texas, wrote a bit of code for Atari at one point, plays guitar used to hang around with Ranger Et Al back in the day…. I forget Chang Noi’s name…

Flashermac…I had a conversation with him a few weeks ago, doing o.k. Living up in Chaing Mai now in an assisted lived type place. His mind is still pretty sharp, He has some history in San Francisco (NOT the gay kind)  so I brought him up to speed with the shit show that is SF… Good to talk with him and reminisce about Fort Ord and Monterey as well…
