Palatkik
Red Rocket [2021] A washed-up porn star returns to his small Texas hometown to scrounge off the wife turned pro and mother in law again. Well delivered black comedy piece of Americana underbelly life in the Texan work belt done to a backdrop of the 2016 election campaign.
Coss
Vikings: Valhalla TV series. Set some hundred years, after the very good (patchy near the end) series of series, this is seemingly quite good, I'm 6 episodes into the 8 episode run. Michael Hurst of the originals, Executive Produces this. It may be that I'm old and crochety and weary of the, millennial prayer phone adherents, but: In the 1st episodes, I thought they'd found, two more Hemsworth brothers, to grace our screens, handsome devils they are. Not a spoiler, well for technical nerds like me, it could be, there's a bit where they make passable surf boards, out of split oak logs. I though that surf boards came out of Polynesia, and only to the European world after the Europeans got to Hawaii, 18 century-ish... And then only after the proles got "leisure" - post WW1 and 2 - On the positive side there's Laura Berlin who's every appearance, stops my brain. Worth a watch
My Penis is hungry
I loved the first series, but once they made surfboards in this one I gace up No where as good as the first
Coss
I've just finished the series, overall, worth a look, I reckon, especially if you are, millennial tolerant. But yes, no where near as good as the the original.
migrant
I watched it a while back and managed the whole series. The lead Viking was much too millennial looking to be realistic IMHO. If the series ran longer I would have quit it. Now watching The Last Kingdom, another Viking era show. It also has it's slow moments but I like it a lot better than Valhalla. The movie Valhalla I mean, I don't know if I like.....never mind.

Coss
Whilst the look that many millennials adhere to, is very similar to that of a period "Viking", the modern rendition has far too much curating and lady-like "product" applied to face, body and hairy bits, to be convincing in a period TV series. i.e. Actor in Vikings: Valhalla Actor in Vikings (orig.) As we say down our way, in an approving tone, "a bit of mongrel".

Palatkik
Master [2022] Two African American women begin to share disturbing experiences at a predominantly white college in New England. Mediocre thriller, plays the tiresome race card as only US movies seems capable.
Palatkik
Our House [2022 TV Limited Series] Based on the novel of the same name, tells the story of a woman, who arrives home one day to find a family of strangers moving into her house and her husband disappeared. Enjoyable lightweight TV thriller for when the mood suits, some good performances, plot holes abound.
