khunsanuk
Hi, Exactly how I feel about it as well. And I seriously doubt we are the only ones. I bet all of this is doing wonders for tourism. Sanuk!
Old Hippie
Now that I think about it, I often get a pat down when transiting Japan and often when I leave Thailand...no nut squeeze though... As for the porn stick...it would "explode" if it was connected to my laptop, as I have almost nothing but porn on it.

yfs
Hi, "US Customs now routinely "impounds" laptops and then they mail them back to you after a week or two." Giving them 2 weeks to put all kinds of shit on it Sanuk! Huh? What? Doubtful at best. Now if you are re-directed to secondary inspection and the subsequent Q and A session gives the TSA agent further reason to suspect something more, (or just being an asshole), then your laptop or memory sticks/card could very well be impounded. However it's not routine. I have traveled with my laptop, seven times since June 2010 between BKK,MNL and LAX without any problems. My guess is that Khun Sanuk (and others) are just quoting rumour (that those on the left are eager to do without due diligence).
yfs
One more thing... The Pornstick can easily be thwarted if one were to routinely wipe clean their hard drive. A single pass of zeros will suffice quite nicely. Those engaging in illegal activities or a messy divorce may want to consider more passes. Coss
There are lotsa caches and logs to be considered, but if you know what these are, then you know what to do about them.
exit2dos
They would need probable cause to impound a laptop. I think they are concentrating on terrorism rather than porn, of any nature, these days. They don't have the time to waste on porn now.
