Bangkoktraveler
Generally Franklin D. Roosevelt is considered the greatest president for the 20th century. Most surveys don't even rank Reagan as being even the top 10 Presidents for the 20th century. Even Obama rates as betwwen the greatest and third greatest President for the 21st century depending on which survey you look at.
Obi Wan Allistar
Hugh, I told Ronnie about your kind remarks about him. He appreciated the words and wanted you to visit him. Unfortunately, his dementia has carried over and I had to tell him you would not be visiting any time soon.

shygye
1985 US Becomes Debtor Nation For the first time since 1914, the United States owed more money to foreigners than it was owed. The United States became the world's largest debtor country in 1985, the first time America has slipped into the status of a net debtor since the early part of the century, the government reported Tuesday. Simply stated, the numbers mean that foreigners now own more U.S. investments than Americans have in foreign investments. The Commerce Department said the country's international investment position was a negative $107.4 billion at the end of the year. This marked a dramatic turnaround from the country's position over the last ten years. From 1975 to 1980 the nation consistantly registered a surplus exceeding $70 billion. Thanks Reagan.
