What food do you bring from home to LOS

Hi,

"Stroop Wafles from Holland! but they always melt!"

We always bring loads of those (my wife *loves* them and we've even looked into some way of making them here, but don't have the right equipment). No problems with melting though.

Sanuk!

I just got back from Holland, with 8 bags of Stroop wafles, 6 packages of the black brood, (I forget the name, roggerbrood?) and dear memories of various pancakes...

if you are really lucky, I MAY just have one bag of them for you... but I have a feeling I may eat them in the plane on the way to BKK...

if I can find them in the US, I will bring some, for sure.

My nephew just turned me on to the wafles with honey. A nice variation!

Hi,

"(I forget the name, roggerbrood?)"

Close enough, it's roggebrood.

I'm okay with it, but do not like to eat more than a few slices.

Hahahaha, know how you feel. We brought 12 packs, took less than a week for them to disappear.

I live in BKK, but I just gotta have some Philly fare, so my suitcase is packed with:

Tastykakes

Good bagels/english muffins

Soft pretzels

Taylor pork roll

Cheese and butter (much cheaper in the US vs. Thailand)

Favorite candy bars - Reese's, etc.

Last time I brought a hoagie with me to eat on the flight instead of the airline glop. Imagine...the guy sitting next to me asked to change his seat! Just jealous, I guess. :rotfl:

Does this imply you all dont consider "LOS" as "home" ?

Just curious.

sitting in Southern California on a foggy morning its hard to consider LOS home, thinking of going to the desert this afternoon.....

Its fun when I am there , but I doubt I could handle it every day,

so LOS far from being my "home"
