Straycat
Smoke and pretty windows so far, I'd say.
..
Same as XP IMHO. A resource hog that gave me nothing more than 2000 did. So I upgraded but then regressed back to 2000. Ya, Adobe Premiere 7.0 only runs on XP, but I seem to make do with Premiere 6.5 for the little movie editing I do. Can't think of any other software I am interested in that does not run on Win2K. Sounds like I'll still keep my Win2K -- stable, relatively efficient, does all that I need it to. Cheers, SD
Straycat
And many people share your opinion, Sua. However, I'd say XP is progress. A few examples. - easier to manage media files in XP - easier to set up networks in XP - improved security features (for what it's worth...) and - overall a friendlier and more intuitive interface I wouldn't go back to 2000 -- but it wouldn't hurt me much if I was forced to, I'll give you that. khunsanuk
Hi, I'm with SD on this, I'm still using 2000 at home (XP in the office, but configured to look like 2000). One of the biggest problems I have with XP is that it cannot search for a piece of text inside a file. It works fine in 2000 though. Willl I move to Vista? No idea, but likely not within the first several months of its release. Sanuk!
Straycat
Hi there, Just a quick note on search inside documents. It's possible in XP. At the search box, look for a tiny link titled "Advanced options". Cheers, Stray
