1. Let her stay: Definitely not. If she's in the nightlife industry she should be able to afford her own roof. If she wanted to switch professions, I'd support that and she could stay.

2. Let her visit: Yes

3. Try to make her stop: No. Just educate her about her choices and if she's going to stay in the business, how to make the most of it. Heh

4. Mingle with her and her customers: Hell no. I know about you freaks!!!

Ha, ha, ha.

What happens before you see the sister you go on a preaching spree in which you rant and rave about all the pros and cons to your wife. After your ranting on what good christian values you want to bring into the house, you leave for a while. You end up with a prostitute in a short time hotel who sucks your cock and fucks you several times. After 2 hours of fun, you return home. Two hours later the prostitute shows up on your door step.

What do you tell the wife?

What does the sister at the door tell your wife?

Bangkok Traveler,

Talking about a couple, for awhile, the sister has met the husband, decides to move in with them, then decides to "go work bar." This isn't really about Christian values or any of that BS, it is more a matter of personnal "face." Sure we all love whores, but would we want a member of our family to be one? And how does having one in your immediate family, reflect on you?

Old Hippie's quote:

and what happens if the falang husband happens to go to a bar, sits in the far corner with his pants down around his ankles and is getting a blow job when his wife's sister walks in - ready to go to work?

Who are we to judge others and tell them what to do when we are ourselves, in some cases, are not very good examples? Now, if the husband conducted himself in a good way, then that would be different.

But then, would the falang have met his wife?[color:"yellow"]

in Theory, the husband met his wife while mongering, and then stopped when they became a couple, and she stopped "working bar..." He would presumably know what bar the sister worked at as well...

I agree, we are no one to tell another how to live, the question is, or a question is, by allowing her to live with us, the couple, and by socializing with her and her custromers (who she may well be lieing to/conning etc) are we helping her down a bad road...?

Impossible to answer. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. I think it's difficult to change someones mind with threats, but that does not mean it never can work, but perhaps keeping them close working with them to understand what is driving them and offer alternatives could work just as well or better?

O.k. now let me add a bit more...would you be concerned with the influence the hooker sister MIGHT have on the ex-bar girl sister? Now, suppose another sister wants to come to BKK and also return to bar work...now you have 2 sisters actively working in the business, and staying under your roof... would you be at all concerned they might have a negative influence on your wife? or kid(s) especially a daughter?

Agreed, you cannot change their behavior with a mere threat, but, could it be argued that you are "making it easier" for them by giving them a place to stay, and not trying to get them to do something else? Assuming you have the means to help them do something else...could your allowing her/them to stay in your home, be seen as condoning her actions (never mind the sex part, what about the conning, lieing, deceiving, maybe stealing etc...?)

What if you had a daughter (or maybe any kid)? While we don't want to be judgemental, or raise a kid to be judgemental...aren't you then sending a message that it is o.k. to go and whore in a bar...? what would you tell the kid(s)?

All to often, we areconcerned with the "face" or status of the Thai side of the family, but what about the farang face, and his family status/image? Should this be considered by the wife?
