I see Fux News is jumping on his statement about the lives of US troops in Iraq being "wasted" too. In any case, who knows who the US electorate will elect? This is exactly the question Americans should be asking! I'll disagree that Obama should have ignore Howard. It is a fair question to ask. Sort of like someone should ask GWB why his kids don't enlist...hell, they could join his old Guard unit...hear they are soft/flexible on attendance. Obama's point was simple, put up or shut up. Put your troops on the line, and feel the political fall out at home, or else shut up. To me, if the world wants this to end, they either need to all send troops, and stabilize that whole rwegion, or else they need to pressure their leaders to Stop GWB... I guess that's what happens when you get a bunch of people with similar attitudes to Hugh Hoy running the place. I guess it depends on what you believe the purposes of a Government should be. I don't happen to believe that it should be a function of the federal government to provide healthcare. It should be up to the individuals to provide the resources for their own healthcare. As for education, it was fine until all the "feel good" idiots got control of the education system. The education system in California, 60 years ago, was probably the best in the county. Now ranks near the bottom. Plenty of reasons, a lot of which can be attributed to illegal immigration in the hundreds of thousands. Before, community colleges were free and State universities were next-to-free. Now, the $ are spent on "bi-lingual" education, have been spent on worthless curriculum changes and other very questionable roles "feel good"/socialist legislators believe should be loaded upon the schools (free breakfasts and lunches for the "poor", for instance; personalized bus service for a kid who can't even feed himself or know what he's eating so he can be "included" into the mainstream classroom...basically only providing his parents with free but expensive babysitting during the school day.) Ok, so a child of a working class family, that can't afford private health insurance, is diagnosed with cancer. What should the state do? Let the child die? Give the parents instructions on how to ensure that the child's death doesn't end up costing the state money? Maybe suggest that the parents drown the child so as to minimize the cost of food and clothing etc while the child is dying, and weigh the body down with rocks to save the cost of a coffin and a burial plot? I can't understand why you can't get that in your noggin'. I can understand a question like "what should the parents do?...or the extended family do? or what can charitable organizations do? or doctors who treat patients for free. You and other commies/socialists are always looking for taxpayers to solve your problems. The easy way out...let somebody else shoulder your responsibilites and pick up the tab. Such projects require several people to work together usually, since you want nice graphics, cool sound and quality game-play. Most of the projects these days are conversions of games. And not only Speccy games are thus converted to the modern computer platforms, but it's - interestingly enough - the other way around too! This page tries to list the lot and can also contain requests from new project groups who need to get in touch with future co-programmers, graphics wizards and audio freaks.
