Old Hippie
"...Chicken w. cashewnuts = Gai pat mit mamuang ..." Thought that was Gai Himapan? Thought "...Kapow Gai - So named for the super farkin hot chillis flavoured with a small amount of chicken..." Refered to the Hot Basil leaves, not the Chillies, but then I don't understand anything about Thai culture or Bhuddism, because I don't live there... Pescator
Yam Bunsen - glass noodles That would be Yam Wunsen Salad consisting of glass noodles and you usually specify the topping. to the OP concerning Som Tam. I dunno about you, but most foreigners - yours truly included - prefer Tam Thai over Som Tam. Tam thai comes without the rotten fish and stinking craps or is it the other way around cheers hn
