YimSiam
I'm back to what feels like eternity - trip back to US for family reasons means i don't see a trip to LOS in the near future - say, around end August. T minus 9 weeks - I guess I shouldn't be so down about it, that's probably perfectly reasonable timing... YimSiam

Specialist
T minus 49 days and counting. And I wish the number was lower, but airfare over Christmas week is astronomical at the moment. (I may call and see if I can burn some miles.) My Penis is hungry
I've never paid so much for a ticket, granted I usually am in Thailand, but currently not, stunned the prices are double normal fairs from Aust to Bangkok. That said, Europe to Bangkok on Emerates is dam cheap. I got a ticket for my sister, one way, for less than $400. Have you looked a flying to Hong Kong or Singapore? I did that and also found cheaper solutions, doing the last leg with Air Asia
Specialist
I suspect that part of the problem is that I'm fighting US dollar weaknesses, and part of it is that I'm fighting US airline greed.
Flashermac
However, the baht is also weak.
YimSiam
I suspect that part of the problem is that I'm fighting US dollar weaknesses, and part of it is that I'm fighting US airline greed. My greatest enemy is my unbreakable addiction to business class... This habit makes all economy fares - however theoretical they have become - look fucking beautiful and as reasonable as I could ask for...
Specialist
However, the baht is also weak. Perspective. The first time I visited Bangkok, the baht was 40 to the US dollar. It is currently at about 35.
My Penis is hungry
Not that different for me, I arrived first time in 97, I think the Baht had just been devalued, it was about 40, I was here for that giddy period where it soared above that, and sadly the 2009 to recently when it was low.
