If I would stay in a foreign country for 2 or 3 years I would learn that language very quickly!

 

 

When I was there for a year in the 60's, I got lucky and was shacked up w/ a German babe who had spent 2- 3 yrs in California where her parents lived. She spoke English better than I. We had great times together. The food and sekt were great. I never did learn much German (other than the cuss words). I've been back a few times since then when I traveled around Europe.

Was meant to be going from Jordan to Dubai on Friday for 4 weeks working but, as that was called off last night, I booked a flight to LOS instead.

 

I haven't ben in LOS since October last year, which is a longer than usual gap between visits for me.

Landing at Swampy late Friday 6 March, DEROS Saturday 21 March.

 

Current plan calls for me to be in a seminar the first week, but that is not completely definite at this point.
