Election Day is scheduled for about 2 weeks from now.

Depending on the quantity and quality of the brown matter that impacts the rotary air impeller between now and then, and afterwards, I *MIGHT* be back in town ca. late March-early April, or late April-early May. I have to schedule around work, and I am not even remotely crazy enough to be in town during Songkran.

Accumulated frustration is high enough that I've declared vacation time around Thanksgiving.

I'm scheduled to land at Swampy on Sunday 23 Nov, shortly before midnight, and fly out Sunday Pearl Harbor Day.

I just put the airline and hotel reservations in place.

Are you still a specialist? I'd thought you'd surely be a sergeant by now. :hmmm:

Not if he keeps running off to BKK all the time - that habit has implications on career trajectory, I'm afraid...

24 Days until I escape from SRV for a couple of weeks and back to Bangkok. Had trips around the North to Ha Noi and Hai Phong etc but not bothered with Saigon, Ha Noi to Saigon is a longer flight than Ha Noi to BKK, in BKK taxi's are cheaper don't have to pay for a hotel and can sort of get by in the lingo in Bangers so Saigon has no interest for me at the moment but we may give it a look see at some time in the next 3-4 years that we will be here.

Hi guys,

I will come to Siam end of November 2014. That means 5 – 6 weeks to go.

My plan is to overwinter in Thailand: End of November, December, January to end of February.

But I am a special case now. Well, this time I am not the sanuk and fun-seeking boy.

I come as a melancholy observer of the scene, which himself can no longer actively take part in the sanuk, in the fun.

I had an apoplectic stroke with devastating consequences in December 2012.

The right half of my body is severely paralyzed.

I cannot move my right leg freely; I limp.

I cannot move my right arm. The fingers of my right hand are completely paralyzed.

! The stroke has made me older by many years !

I cannot work any longer. I am retired now. My new trademark is my crutch.

But I don't want to bother you.
