..
Having to be up to deal with my principals in the US (not finished with that yet), I just smoked all the butts of the fine cigars I had saved, and now am listening to John Hiatt at loud volume, awaiting the next phone call. Then to the China Embassy at 0900 for a (n expected) fight for a multi-entry visa. Ahhh, the glamorous expat life... Cheers, SD -- can always be fully functional on two hours sleep... Faustian
Cool today....surprisingly cool! Strong wind...I almost shivered! I can function on 2 hours sleep, but it isn't nice.
The_Munchmaster
Don't the butts of formerly smoked cigars taste bad?
..
I cut the lit end off and blow through the cigar to get any remaining smoke out before butting it in a tube. Works well for good cigars. Dunno about cheapies. Cheers, SD -- cheap bastard who hates to leave half a $25 cigar unsmoked
unit731
Don't the butts of formerly smoked cigars taste bad? Boil them in turpentine. Don't use a gas stove though!
teddy
Suadam has a lot in common with Warren Buffet who knows the value of a cigar butt. He once said: "If you buy a stock at a sufficiently low price, there will usually be some hiccup in the fortunes of the business that gives you a chance to unload at a decent profit, even though the long-term performance of the business may be terrible. I call this the "cigar-butt" approach to investing. A cigar butt found in the street, which has only one puff left in it, may not offer much of a smoke, but the bargain purchase will make that puff all profit."
