Flowers for the lady

Gentlemen ,

being the last representative alive of a bygone area of educated dinosaurs I pride myself in having wasted a fortune already in sending flowers through the world whenever the loved one celebrates her birthday . Though at that time it is the first occasion that the kingdom might be hit by this service . The question that arises sounds as follows : as we are talking about Siam where an abundance of unexpected interpretation easily originates even from the most harmless of all moves , would a load of flowers be welcome or thrown on the floor followed by an immediate visit to the local constabulary ?? I note from various websites that there seem to be specialised entrepreneurs already covering this marketplace from which I dare to draw the conclusion that I am considering a common activity . Though in the kingdom , you never know . Your comments are eagerly expected as due to a teporary amnesia I am a bit under pressure ; madame's birthday I regretfully admit , has been yesterday . As usual , your valuable advice is more than appreciated .

Thai girls love flowers. I...er I mean I have a friend who sends them to Thai girls all the time. I, er I mean he often uses www.flowers2thailand.com very good reliable service, and reasonable prices. And yes, the girls love getting them. Or so my friend tells me.

In the past I sent flowers to a BG who was very proud (read gain face) when she received them in her soi 33 bar.

More recently, my lady received flowers at her office (was a surprise).

The result was very good but at first it was a mix.

She was very shy (never received flowers in her life), proud (especially when a married colleague remarked that her husband never offered her flowers)

Second time, I brought the flower myself when I was passing along her office....Dumb me as it was the first time I entered her office.

Huge and very classy lobby area and I thought I looked pretty damn stupid with a huge bunch of flowers.

All in all and after receiving feedbacks from her and her friends.

- Flowers are not often offered as gifts in Thailand (first of all they are "expensive")

- Thai men are not really into offering flowers

- Flowers are great if you offer them in such circumstances that it makes her happy (read: gain face), all the better if the lady likes flowers

- Flowers are best to be offered from time to time and in addition to other gifts.

- Regular Thai ladies are most impressed by beautiful flowers offered in front of friends/colleagues as it is a rarity

Sir ,

I wish to thank you for your most professional advice and may confirm that this very minute a party from your Thai flowercompany should be racing downtown to deliver an assembly of their bargains . The good thing about this that I can put the blame on them for being one day late .

Thank you again

They are a good company and would probably do as you wished in respect of apologies. Certainly they have earned me more 'Thank you' fucks, you know those really energetic passion filled bed benders, than anything else I can think of. Used them many times. Most TG's go apeshit over receiving flowers, they're women after all but as several mentioned T'blokes just don't do it. I had a TG send some to her niece on her birthday, a married lass, she said it was the best present ever, pissed her hubby off no end, T'blokes don't get it. Oh yeah don't be surprised if she keeps them a year or more, long after they are dried and dead, they just think they are cool. Go figure.
