Steve Posted September 22, 2008 Report Share Posted September 22, 2008 CS, be interesting if someone recorded speaking in tongues and had a linguistics prof study it to see if there is a grammar, uniformity of forms etc. Make a change from folks doing their PhD studies in Linguistics on extremely obscure languages spoken by a few hundred people on some small island in the Philippines. Great idea. I recall one movie where someone spoke in tongues and it was aramaic, the language Jesus spoke. Not many people speak it today and the modern version of it is different than how it was spoken back then (like Greek). I'd do it but it I'd be too afraid.
