unit731
Having watched the tele about the goings on in Bombay - it got me to thinkin about an exit plan from any hotel I stay at. I don't think I ever viewed the stairs at the Nana nor for that matter any stairs in any hotel I have stayed at except the ones without a lift. Does anyone ever think of an emergency exit plan from hotel staying at?
Badger77
This is somehting that crosses my mind, but human nature takes over and we usually relax...maybe a bit too much. Good subject to bring up in this day and age. Its sad that we need a tragedy in order to adjust our behaviour. Knowing where the stairs are and where exactly they lead sounds essential. The window fire escape could be a possibility if a system is in place.
cavanami
Force of habit. I always know where the exits are.

..
Biggest fire trap is NEP. I'd say MBK is worse! Cheers, SD
samak
...and the hotels where they lock the emergency exits as they are afraid people leave without paying...
buffalo_bill
I think the very worst case would be Pratunam clothing market . Just everything inside can burn and they are cooking on open fire , gas cookers .
TheCorinthian
Who good is the BKK Fire Dept? I can honestly say I have never seen them in action or even a truck on the street. I have no idea where a fire house is located.....
..
They are very impressive, especially given their constraints (weather & traffic). There is a fire station on Suk soi 22 on the right, about 1.5km from Suk, just before soi 16 crosses soi 22. Many more, but that's the one you'd be closest to.
