It's not that it won't happen' date=' it won't happen as often. Higher taxes means you have to take less risks since the rewards are less. That really shouldn't be hard to see.[/quote']

Total crap!

So a person wanting to start a new business, wont do so because of a few percentage increases in tax?

LOL

Which planet are you from? You've really bought the GOP bullshit. Hook, line and sinker.

I can see it now, all the budding entrepreneurs....putting their dreams on hold because of a minor tax increase...waiting until the next republican administration....

For real! You really believe the propaganda....hilarious!

Learn to read. I didn't say it wouldn't happen. There's nothing really more to say to you since you haven't taken reading comprehension 101 yet.

Point still stands...maybe its you who is having comprehension difficulties....you're certainly having conceptual thinking problems!

A very academic argument that has no basis in reality. Just look at the 1950s. Amongst the most successful times in our country's history. But the top tax rate was 90%...

It was for 400k in the 1950's. Quite a big difference between 250k a year now now.\

Also ->

:doah: There's an even bigger diff between 40% & 90%!

What's your point? The fact remains the most successful time in our history also had the highest taxes, proving that taxes do not affect biz in the way you argue. It is academic thought versus reality.

Cheers,

SD

Hey, let's do 90% taxes for anything above poverty.

Cheers,

No, what I said was I appreciate hearing the truth. I did not say I liked the message. Don't put words in my mouth. I think Obama told us what he was going to do and he is now doing it. Whether you agree with it or not he at least seems pretty straight up about it. I don't feel I am being lied to for a change.

Okay...didn't mean to put words in your mouth. Yeah, he said what he was going to do, but didn't really tell the "whole" truth. For instance, he didn't say he give his voters a tax break of $65/month (BFD); said he was going to pull our troops out of Iraq within sixteen months (now extended) and will leave behind 30-50,000 "non-combat" personnel in place (for gawd knows how long). (Does anybody expect that those "non-combat" troops will not receive combat pay?) He did not say that he would dwarf "bridges and roads" stimulous spending with his socialistic programs and give aways (too numerous to bother listing here). He told the American puablic that there would be no pork in the stimulous bill. Obama's proposed budget is fucking loaded with it. If he had told the entire truth, I don't think he'd have won in the Democrat primary.

Well, I'm quite certain that his proposed budget will get ripped to shreds and it's conceivable that no budget will get passed for another year...unless the Communist wing of the Demoncrat Party completely takes over.

Again, sorry if I put words in your mouth.

Ok, so the tax break for the average American is bad, right? (his voters, interesting use of language....you mean normal Americans).

Troops will be out by 2010. That's within the timeframe. Your neo-con buddies had no real plan for withdrawal...would you rather they stayed? It is a reduction and it is progress.

Bridge and road building is bad? Why? It will create jobs, use US materials and improve Americas awful near 3rd world infrastructure. It's much needed!

What other bits don't you like? Please be specific or all you are doing is just mouthing off hatred.

If Obama says "yellow", the Conservatives say "blue".
