..
Beef tongue rocks! It took a Korean friend several times of cajoling me to try it, now I love it and order it every time. Cheers, SD
drogon
Would never eat beef tongue except if someone like SD tricks me into eating it... Been traumatized by the military rations...-> beef tongue Madera
Old Hippie
Love tongue as well! Isn't Pate just a fancy name for "chppped liver"? or Liverwurst? In any event, I like it.
sanddawg1
Stable Lodge on Soi 8 has very good pate; SL is owned by a Danish man and his Terak. Every Sunday they have a Danish buffet good food and value. S1

samak
yes with a Sauternes! you are a connaisseur! not sure why you expect a german restaurant to have this! it's more a french thing - and i also had it in Belgium (Wallonie) many years ago
drogon
Yes sure this is a French/Belgian thing but I found some very good ones in Aachen too -> certainly the close proximity of Belgium. I am really fond of foie gras, no idea how to say it precisely English but I do prefer it (no matter if goose or duck) fresh and semi-cooked. I usually don't like it fully cooked although I had some good surprises from time to time. Never tried a cooked one in Thailand as I know it is not easy to cook it correctly... (although I was tempted to try the one at the oriental "le Normandie"...) I especially love the "pâté de foie gras" and the one which contains more than 75% of foie gras... No mistery why Périgueux and Sarlat are my favorite towns in France.... (and I do love very much the "bloc de foie gras entier" + black truffles)
limbo
Children and wife eat liver pate! Buy them non stop at either Lotus or Big C! We all love liver as well. Foie gras, is about a year ago I had the last bit of that, somebody brought it for me from a trip to France. Beef tongue is excellent, haven't had that for ages, my Dad used to cook that, boiled. Fantastic!
