clubsiam
Convicted felon? The corrupt Military Junta threw him out, took his money, fixed the court. Now you know.
Faustian
Ahhh, ok, so you don't think he was guilty of doing anything illegal then? His government wasn't utterly corrupt? He didn't make billions whilst in office, using his position to feather his own nest? He wasn't guilty of ignoring due process in the killing of thousands over alleged but unproven drug related crimes? He didn't change the tax laws to benefit himself and his family? No? Faustian
And another point, added to aid those who clearly suffer from a lack of comprehension... I'm not suggesting Thaksin wasn't set up...he clearly was played and lots of shenanigans transpired...but he wasn't exactly a saint, so please remove your blinkers. CTO
The real irony here is they are all as dodgy as each other. Only interest I have is who uses a trickle Vs Trickle down solution while pocketing the difference. Current government hasn't won a election - they came to power when the previous winners got booted. Think "Gerald Ford" - it happens - it's legal - but neither where voted for by a majority of people.
Flashermac
Huh? The majority voted for Samak or Somchai? Both were the head of a coalition government, which included the Newin faction. Now the Newin faction is with Abhisit. That's somehow different?
ThaiHome
Details, details, why do you bore us with facts? Much more fun to repeat over and over (because that makes it true) that the current government was not legally elected. TH.
