Palatkik Posted March 16, 2025 Report Posted March 16, 2025 Zero Day [2025 TV] Zero Day asks the question on everyone’s mind - how do we find truth in a world rife with conspiracy theory and subterfuge, how much of those forces are products of our own doing, perhaps even of our own imagining? Cyber-hacking political thriller, stacked with a top cast, potholes abound but it draws parallels with the state of US politics today and is nevertheless entertaining. 1

Palatkik Posted March 22, 2025 Report Posted March 22, 2025 Last Breath [2025 Movie] A true story that follows seasoned North Sea divers offshore Aberdeen, as they battle the elements to rescue their crew mate trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean's surface following an undersea gas pipeline repair job that goes wrong when the ship loses its dynamic positioning system. Best seen if you haven't seen the 2019 movie documentary it's based on, a gripping well made standard formula thriller. Worth seeing.
Palatkik Posted March 30, 2025 Report Posted March 30, 2025 Juror #2 [2024 Movie] While serving as a juror in a high-profile murder trial, a family man finds himself struggling with a serious moral dilemma, one he could use to sway the jury verdict and potentially convict or free the wrong killer. Slow paced entertaining albeit unconvincing drama, possibly the last ever movie directed by Clint Eastwood.
Palatkik Posted March 30, 2025 Report Posted March 30, 2025 Myth of Man [2025 Movie] A woman embarks on a whimsical odyssey between life and death, convinced she has received a message from her creator. Steampunk feel, highly original art house movie, the visuals and sound effects keep you engaged if you make the effort. OK if you like this sort of thing, but for some a step too far at two hours with no dialogue.

Palatkik Posted March 30, 2025 Report Posted March 30, 2025 Soylent Green [1973 Movie] A nightmarish futuristic fantasy about the controlling power of big corporations and an innocent cop who stumbles on the truth. Uneven and muddled, made in 1973 and set in the future of 2024, it makes for an interesting view today in 2025, especially if viewing first time!
Palatkik Posted March 30, 2025 Report Posted March 30, 2025 Bring Them Down [2024 Movie] An Irish shepherding family thrust into battle on several fronts: internal strife, hostility within the family, rivalry with another farmer. A brutal feud between Irish sheep farming families, excellent stuff.
