Another one is Shameless a comedy drama set on a council estate in NW England, sort of reminds me of my roots. Now watching the second season of Dexter, which is about a serial killer who only kills murderers - and works for the police. Well worth checking out. Sanuk! Can't wait till the 2nd season though, 'cos Jaime Murray (from the UK series 'The Hustle') appears naked! Phwoar! Also love House (Hugh Laurie is brilliant, and to think he was just a comedian in England) and have seen all 5 series. I can also recommend the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica.
