TroyinEwa/Perv
In Zimbabwe, you used to get one bill for 10 million. In fact, before they revalued their money, I think there was a 100,000,000 note.
Julian2
I remember when $50 notes came in in Australia, we all swore they'd never catch on. When I was in Turkey in '96 there were some fairly whopping notes around.
Flashermac
I don't recall anything bigger than a $20 in Australia. Uh ... it's been a while since I was there.
Old Hippie
And I for one would like to see more 10 baht bills. Somewhere, I have a 10bht note. Haven't seen one in circulation in over 5+ years.
Flashermac
When I first came here 5 baht was a paper note. I've seen the 1 baht notes, but never used one. They apparently disappeared in the late 1960s. The 500 baht bill didn't appear until about 1974. We were all woried that the BGs would start demanding 500 baht LT after that! p.s. The last time I got a paper 10 in my change must have been 4 or 5 years ago.

TroyinEwa/Perv
Just looked and my room-mate has a bunch of old notes. An old 1 baht, 5 baht, 10 baht. Old 50's. An old 60 and an oversized 60, old 100's and an oversized 100. Neat to see the old notes.
Flashermac
The big bills went out around 1975 or '76. I remember I had to buy a Thai wallet when I came here, since the paper money stuck out of my US wallet.
Redbaron
Go to Laos or Vietnam. You'll see all the high denomination bills you want. I remember cashing $40 USD in Laos... couldn't fit the kips into my wallet, had to fill my pockets... felt like Mr Millionaire..
