Long Post about a Very Minor Incident

How would one wish the slice of humble pie to be served

This is one of those awkward moments where I'm honestly confused -- not sure if what you're writing here is some sarcastic biting comment that I'm just not getting (maybe to the effect that what I said means I think I was wrong, or sth like that), or if it's a hint that there's regret on your part for something you said.

So... dunno how to respond.

I guess about what I said before -- yeah sure it's possible you're right -- my gut says No though -- but it's possible any of these interpretations are correct. How can we know. And like someone above mentioned, maybe the girl herself doesn't even know.

Still, it's interesting to think about.

I liked the point made by Paraes (whatever happened to Paraes? I remember his posts from the old days) -- but if we never analyze them, it's gonna take a whole huge chunk of content out of a site like this. Not to mention fun.

Wendella,

The point I was trying to make is about Expats perceived ignorance of Pattaya Nightlife, I am not sure how long he has been in Thailand but based on his date of joining this site I would estimate > 8 years.

I have noticed over the past few weeks that he has started a few threads that don't tie in with the fact that he is a long term Pattaya expat such as this ome and the others previously highlighted.

In order to satisfy my curiousity I started This Poll , if you cannot see the results 12/14 were within first 2 weeks / on flight home.

When I first moved to Thailand I lived in Pattaya for 7 years before moving to BKK in 1998 and in subsequent years have spent a lot of time there midweek whilst working in Eastern Seaboard, so I know the area quite well, and I can honestly say that I had experienced all the things that surprise Expat now after his 8+ Years here within the first 2-3 days.

The observations made and questions asked are what I would expect from a newbie and not from a long term expat resident. I am not intending to Troll or Flame Expat, just asking the question "What have you wasted the past 8+ years of your life on"?

Absolutely agree that the last thing we should be doing with BGs is trying to analyze them. As Alex Kerr puts it, the Thai smile is 'a sheet of ice covering something much darker'. I've made the comment in previous posts that I doubt that the girls spend even a fraction of their time wondering what makes Farang tick, although I am occasionally surprised.

One of the Nana gals told me that she had just ended a 2-year relationship with a guy who has been going to Thailand for 15 years, roughly 3 months at a time. She asked him why he hadnt bothered to learn Thai, and his response was that he only needed two things - 'drink' and 'f*ck' - what was the point of learning Thai ? I suspect that the vast majority of the girls want a customer whose needs dont go beyond that realm - in her case, she claimed he spent far more time drinking than f*cking and that wasnt a good thing. Food for thought :)

sg, is it just me or are Filipinas more likely to accept certain kinky requests than the average Thai BG ? They might try to jack up the price, but thats different to a TG telling you outright that you wont be coming anywhere *near* her face. I know the head is sacred for Buddhists, but surely they leave that at the door of the lift at Nana Hotel ....

(surprisingly (or not), Filipina guys seem to induct their GFs into the 'porn movie' approach to sex well before they land on a white dick - not sure how often this happens with Thai men, randy buggers that they undoubtedly are - given that katoeys were around long before the first Farang, one can only assume that the Hershey highway is far from a sacred cow with Thai men !)

It's breathtaking to see the way you connect your dots ;)

wendella, I mightnt be the sharpest tool in this shed, but it still seems odd that so many working girls refuse to take it up the rear (not purely my experience - the board is littered with posts about their relctance) while there is a third sex who, I can only imagine, spend a large part of their lives doing exactly that. Not that I LIKE to imagine them doing exactly that, of course, coz that would be gay, and not even 'prison sex' gay.

I'm not sure I'd say it's 'gay'. How does a practice like that get spread? More passed on culturally (not sure what term to use, but basically from hearing of others doing it). So myself, I actually heard of that particular act as a fairly common hetero thing right here in forums like these. I never even thought about it before that. Honest. I mean, thought about it as as something I myself might try. And so for me at least, there wasn't anything gay associated with it. I mean, yeah, ok, I was aware before that gays did that, duh. (but they kiss and get blow jobs etc etc too -- those arent 'gay' right?) So when I did think of it as a gay thing, it never occurred to me to try it, not til I heard there were guys more like me who did it and were even into it. So then it became more like, hm, maybe that's something to try some time. And I may as well go the distance with my admissions here: I've actually never tried it. Have thought about it but never have done it, or even asked to.

So I guess, to me it seems like whether or not it's gay depends on what kinds of associations a person has with it. My associations got kind of reset in these sex forums.

So my joke above was more like, whoa where'd that come from. No put down meant at all. But once I took it in, easy to see what you mean of course. Just amusing, that's all.

Its interesting that so many clergy choose to focus on the tale of Sodom and Gomorrah to illustrate the evils of following one's pleasure neurones. Many of these same folk dont seem to have a problem sodomising young boys - nothing like a little hypocrisy to really drive home one's, er, message.
