bust
Hi, "Obviously the current Thai ruling elite deserve to go." Why? To be replaced with another set of ruling elite? Sanuk! Your words no mine.....fresh democratic elections might avoid it. Though some may object to that.

khunsanuk
Hi, "Your words no mine.....fresh democratic elections might avoid it. Though some may object to that." And who would rule if not some rich fuckers? How many grass-roots / poor / middle-class people are in the running for PM? Top level government is ONLY rich people. Sanuk! The Red Shirts, and their Rural Falang supporters, were pissed as they felt that their slice was not big enough. So they have DRAMATICALLY reduced the size of the pie! That is applicable in most, if not all, countries. To sway the masses you need to be articulate, well rounded, and look good - all of which require money, usually lots of it. Alternatively, you are a despot and take the country by gun point.
