Arab League Splits From West Over Libya Bombing 3:17pm UK, Sunday March 20, 2011 The Arab League has criticised the military strikes on Libya, a week after urging the United Nations to slap a no-fly zone on the oil-rich North African state. The Arab League chief said that Arabs did not want military strikes by Western powers that hit civilians when the League called for a no-fly zone over Libya. Reuters said Secretary-General Amr Moussa was calling for an emergency league meeting to discuss the situation in the Arab world and particularly Libya under UN resolution 1973. I've just watched them squirming to figure out how to turn it into an anti Obama story. All Fox had to do was wait for CNN correspondent Michael Moore! What different strategies would you Obama critics have adopted as of January 2009 when Obama came to office to: - bring Al Qaeda to its knees in Afghanistan - extricate the USA with honour from Iraq - save the world from recession and global financial meltdown. I notice no answer to my questions yet. Much easier to whinge, nitpick, shoot the messenger (are you really sure you don't work for Fox noise?.. seems to be your source and tactics) than actually make constructive suggestions. Well, here's some facts for you. Check the Dow Jones index below as it plunged by half from 14,164 in October 2007 to 6,547 March 2009... its lowest level in 12½ years! That represents a total loss of confidence over the last 15 months of Republican government, businesses and banks going bust, jobs lost, people's life savings and pension funds decimated. Bushit and his incompetent team not only caused all that, but then just sat on their hands as they watched people's livelihoods disintegrate.. his two terms were done "back to the ranch for me, folks". But not everyone lost.... Cheney's Halliburton was doing well with its Iraq contracts. Then notice how it started to climb again just weeks after Obama took office and recovery is still up. Or would you Tea Crack Pots have preferred no financial rescue, massive bankruptcies and a decade long world wide recession similar to the great depression? Hugh_Hoy Posted March 21, 2011 Report Share Posted March 21, 2011 I'd also say that the majority of Tea Party members actually pay taxes and have an education sufficient to analyze the follies of the Government. I'd propose that only those who actually pay taxes should be allowed to vote on whether or not to raise or lower taxes and upon what those tax revenues will be spent. Otherwise, you just have parasites gathering like locusts decending on a farmer's field. The more socialism there is, the more locusts.
