bust
A momento or "Happy Snap" of the occasion for Senior Commissioner Djoko Hari Utomo.....one for the photo album like someone else said. The look on the face of Myuran Sukumaran says it all.
jitagawn
The Balinese police treat / use drug arrests as an income producing business. It is huge business for the judges, prosecutors , jailers. The Balinese police are as corrupt as is possible. and are also dealers in drugs The Bali Nine were a major group of heroin traffickers that got fingered by the Oz police before they even got to Bali. Stupid and greedy, =they gambled and lost. The 8 kilos of H came from Thailand There were two young naive teenagers that ruined their lives..so sad=kalian in Balinese Burning/carrying a fattie in Bali is wayyyy too dangerous to consider let alone importing. The Bali cops are the worst mafia-
jon46
Personally, I do not think the death sentence fits the crime! Here in the states (except in Texas and a small number of states elsewhere), capital punishment has not be the law of the land for a very long time. Posing for a photo by a high ranking military official with the person who is sentenced to be executed is something that is ofitself beyond the pale.
Flashermac
The disgust is due to the blatant hypocrisy of Jerkoffwi. One of the Bali bombers who helped kill 202 people and seriously injure 209 more has just been released because of his "good behaviour" in prison. But that counts for nothing with these two, who never had the intention to kill anyone.
Flashermac
Whilst, in principle, I'm agin the death penalty, there are obviously good reasons to be argued for it. In this case I'm not even worried about the drug smugglers, kill 'em or don't, what about the kids and unfortunates that have their lives ruined as a result of the drugs? How many kids do you have to kill to get the chop yourself? Sure I'm aware of the idea that some criminals should walk free in order to make sure an innocent man is not punished unjustly. Sure I know that false conviction rates have been demonstrated and are real, so some innocents have been put to death. But that's not about the death penalty, that's about safe convictions. With regard to the original post, these are obviously pics for his Police Photo Album, there isn't a policeman in the whole of SEA that wouldn't take them. Maybe they'll re-enact the executions for the newspapers. p.s. You've seen the photo of the Koh Tao victims, graphic and up close - with the girl's legs spread and her brains spilling out of her chopped open head. A Thai policeman just decided he should post them on his Facebook page, where others could see them as well. Asian police are ... different. But that counts for nothing with these two, who never had the intention to kill anyone. In 2013 in the US alone there were over 6,200 deaths from Heroin overdose (http://www.drugwarfacts.org/cms/causes_of_death#sthash.5S4QjxpQ.RfwLgT3k.dpbs) there are more deaths annually from Heroin than there are from terrorist attacks, so please stop trying to paint those involved in smuggling as being partially innocent or carrying out a victimless crime
Coss
But it is not a Selfie is it, just a couple of pictures taken of him escorting a prisoner. You're posting tongue in cheek, two selfies, it is. ...with these two, who never had the intention to kill anyone. They may not have had the intention to kill anyone, but per Kong's post, the victims of the Heroin trade die, never the less. Like giving hand grenades to kids, "No intention to kill them your honour, who knew explosions kill kids?" Maybe they'll re-enact the executions for the newspapers. Remarkable absence of finger pointing photos...
My Penis is hungry
What's missing is Abbott telling Indonesia a few weeks back "Hey we gave you zillions for the Tsunami, you should let these guys off". That did not go down well, a major gaff, hence Indonesia's response. You poke fingers, expect to get poked back. 6000 deaths to Heroin in USA? How many for alcohol? 80 000 - so let's ban alcohol! Ooops, we did, look how that turned out. Frankly as dumb as doing hard drugs is, it's better it's manufactured and sold by professionals than drug syndicates.
bust
The drug trade is about supply and demand like any business. UN's top human rights official called for a global ban on the death penalty, warning the practice of killing prisoners too often targeted "foot soldiers" and not kingpins of the illegal drugs trade. The man suspected of heading up the Bali 9 operation is living a life of luxury in Sydney,
