Coss Posted September 22, 2017 Report Posted September 22, 2017 Congrats BB, I hope all goes well, and needless to say I am jealous. cheers Coss Yes still wanting to be back in Vientiane, swinging in my hammock, supping ice n beer, in the shade of my Cashew tree. 1
Vintage_Kwai Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 Congrats.Welcome to the love-hate relationship some of us longer-staying people come to expect of this place. Hua Hin is a nice place, I visit once in a while and have been a member of a Hua Hin website/ chat group since 2004 that is similar to this one and is populated with sensible people.Won't post it just in case the mods throw a hissy fit, but pm me and I'll pass it along. Cheers VK 1
Mekong Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 Nice one B.B. the time has arrived at last it only seems lIke yesterday when you told me October 2017 HH and that was five years ago. Stay out of micro lights 1
khunsanuk Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 Hi, Congrats, BB. I thought you moved quite some time ago already though. VK, feel free to post the URL. I'm not too bothered about these things. Sanuk! 1
zzzz Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 Good luck on your move! I remember a while back an expat posted that he and his Thai wife were also moving to Hua Hin. They were living in the Pattaya area. He thought his family would be treated better there. 1
dean Posted September 23, 2017 Report Posted September 23, 2017 Congratulations BB! Don't rub it in because I still have almost 9 years before my son graduates from High School. I kept the house near CM (by the time I move back, it will be in the central part of CM). At least it's rented out and the rent will pay for upkeep and a fund to build a swimming pool when we get back(my wife's idea. All the best! 1
think_too_mut Posted September 25, 2017 Report Posted September 25, 2017 Good move BB, hope that deserved retirement years will feel nicer in the tropes. We go to Hua Hin every year, we were there 1st week of August 2017. We are all in Japan, permanent residents, can get Japan passports if we wished to. Our daughter (now 13) might do that when out of age. 1
