Pattaya Business and Tourism Association asks for normal Songkran

The Pattaya Business and Tourism Association (PBTA) made a comment yesterday on the incoming mayoral election, asking for a normal Songkran and urging a new mayor to prioritize tourism.

Yesterday, March 26th, Mr. Boonanan Pattanasin, the president of PBTA, revealed his association’s coordination with other business entities in Pattaya, confirming that during the absence of the Pattaya mayor, everything regarding tourism and businesses will function normally as there will be a Pattaya City Manager to be responsible for the mayor in the interim.

In addition, Mr. Boonanan hoped that Songkran Festival and the “Big Day” (April 19th) will be allowed to continue like it did before the pandemic this year to ease the economy. However, under the current circumstance, he also accepted certain Covid-19 protective restrictions to occur, but strongly rejected the entire prohibition of the water splashing and fun events...

Let’s mot worry about the spread of Covid, we are concerned about the economy, idiots. 2021 will repeat, cases will rise, and using Thai logic restrictions will stay in place for foreigners.
