Offering accounts even for tourists. Even that site says : "According to Thai Law and Banking Law, only someone with a long term visa (permit to stay in Thailand) can apply for a Bank Account here. At UnionSPACE we are able to assist you to get around this limitation and open a bank account in your legal name." Then, you deposit 800,000 THB into the account they opened for you. They opened it, they have control of it or at least visibility and access.
My Penis is hungry
If you have a correct visa no issue getting a bank account, as a tourist no. Decades ago you could convince a bank to open an account now you can't. But what would I know? So that coming from 2 diff6 family members who actually work in 2 different Thai banks. I opened my first account as a Tourist at Bangkok Bank Nana Nua, but that was back in the mid 90’s when Leekpai was PM before Thaksin and his Xenophobic ways. buffalo_bill
I talked to these folks and asked all the questions. I do of course not believe anything that I find on the internet. The final conclusion was: myself and one of their people wander into that bank, I sign some papers and after that I leave the building with a Thai bank account in my name. Which is the moment I pay them. Planned to stay in the kingdom right now but postponed to February because too many people in BKK. No like. think_too_mut
No bank would even talk any further after seeing my passport where I have only 60 days stay. Full stop. No talk. Five banks, exactly the same script. Then, best if I apply for the retirement visa in my country of residence. But, (I have no problems with that) Health insurance upfront Police check (my country of residence) Apply 3 months earlier to get a bank account and transfer 800K THB into it Then, come to Thai and apply for a retirement visa All that, somehow, THAI VISA CENTER can circumvent. Still, be in Thai 2 months, then they extend for 1 more month when I can apply for that retirement visa. Might be hazy but somehow it works. I might even avoid it, go 2 months, return, come back another 2 months and keep my insurance where I am. It can ot last forever. Pay for minor ailments, go back if something serious happens, only a 5 hours flight. Edit: I asked Bangkok Bank in Osaka, if my daughter, a Thai national, can open a bank account with them in Japan. They said - yes, but she can not use that account in Thailand, no ATM card. But, with her Thai ID, she got her account opened within minutes in Bangkok, the same bank, BKK Bank. Stickman
Try going in to a bank with a respectable Thai who holds an account in that bank and is willing to vouch for you.

Mekong
From the article For proof of Thai residence, you can bring a rental or lease agreement, a utility bill, a Thai drivers license, and/or a yellow Tabien Baan, also referred to as a house book. Well excuse me but it purchase property in Thailand in order to obtain a Yellow Tabien Baan you require a Thai Bank account to transfer funds into from overseas, so if you already have a yellow Tabien Baan you must also already have a Thai bank account
My Penis is hungry
Perhaps you lost the house?
think_too_mut
When I purchased my condo, the developer gave me their bank and account number to transfer the funds from my Australian bank account. Internal to them, that was probably their foreign funds transfer account. I have laminated property deed in my name while wife and daughter are registered residents (blue book), me not. There is a document about funds transfer, that is what I need for yellow book for me. Never have had an account in Thai.
