Imagine American football without padding and a thousand times less stoppages.

All Blacks rugby matches are worth watching for the haka alone.

I will go against the grain and I say that personally, I question the haka being allowed before all matches. It gives New Zealand an unfair advantage. It's over-done these days and I am one of few Kiwis who agrees with some in the Northern Hemisphere who rightfully ask, why is this pre-game pageantry allowed before every match?

I am a fan of the Haka pre game along with the Sipi Tao and the Manu Sivi Tao

I do however agree it's becoming a bit of an any time will do situation which seems a generational change. I see school kids doing at junior presentations but maybe that's their way of embracing their culture.

yep, there's a haka or a haka adjacent, for many occasions, often as a show of " this is me and mine, and we respect you/them/etc".

All part of the entertainment :)

But imagine if the English started to respond with their national dance, and the Irish, and the Scots...

But that is the point, New Zealand are allowed to do the Haka but trams are t allowed to reciprocate.

Remember the 2019 WC semi final when England lined up in a V Formation to counter the Haka, England were fined, where is the fairness in that?

Most Kiwis are very precious about the haka. I think it's become a total nonsense and am very much an outlier in NZ over this.

Fairness? England were fined for "World Rugby regulations state opponents must not cross the halfway line while the Maori war dance is being performed and six England players could be seen in breach of the ruling last Saturday. " breaching regulations.

And "Aaron Smith also revealing Farrell was winking at him" so now we know that Owen Farrell likes a bit of stray.

I'm not worried about the Haka one way or another, do it, don't, let the opposition do one, fine by me.

So why is there a rule in Rugby specific to the Haka. As you said should there also be a rule about infringing in opponents half if they are Morris SwordDancing or doing the River Dance?
