More than likely undocumented Burmese as it is on most construction sites in Thailand. This in Naypyidaw which is up in the hills from Mandalay. And if I am correct was once called Maymyo which has an interesting history. Spent a few days there once.

Mekong
Authorities in Bangkok are advising residents of two buildings in the city to evacuate after they sustained damage during Friday’s powerful earthquake in neighboring Myanmar. The two buildings — one in the city’s Chatuchak district, the other in the Phra Khanong district — will be inspected for damage, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration said. The administration added that it had received nearly 1,000 reports of “structural concerns” across the city following the quake and a team of engineers will assess cases based on severity, with three high-risk cases identified so far. The structural assessments will ramp up on Saturday morning. In addition, five public parks and six temporary shelters have been opened for residents to seek refuge, with police and city officials being deployed to maintain safety, the administration said. My place is an older.building and as solid as the proverbial Brick Shit house, even though it caused the lights on drops to swing, no rattling tea cups like reported in flimsier buildings
think_too_mut
22 hours ago, Mekong said: Wasn’t occupied, was under construction True but the shoddy static and materials used were there when the sceleton of the building was done. Maybe a year back. Bangkok has thousands if not 10s of thousands of high rise buildings, none of them collapsed or even had an unrepairable damage. Not even visible damage. I suspect, it was this particular building where the developer was cutting corners. Pity it attracted such a wide audience, the world may think Bangkok is like Cairo where buildings collapse without any earthquake.

Poor Burmese, "undocumented migrants", might be the most of the victims. What a gruesome death.
